Video for photo math PhotoMath app lets you solve complex math equations by simply taking a photo

It’s every student’s dream. Simply point your smartphone camera at an equation in a math book and let the phone solve the equation.
That dream is now a reality.
PhotoMath uses your smartphone’s camera to scan math problems, solve them and show the steps involved in reaching the answer. While the app was designed for students to easily check their work, some fear the app will give students an easy way out of doing homework.
The app is available now for iOS devices and Windows devices. The Android app will be released next year.
MicroBlink, a text recognition company, has been developing the technology for mobile phone cameras over the past few years.
The technology has also been used to allow users to take a photo of a paper bill and pay electronically.
The company is expected to expand its use of the text recognition technology in the future.
